Looking for a great activity to do with your Den or Patrol? Is your pack or troop looking for a project that fits into BSA's program, Good Turn For America? Look no further. The Giving Groves program and the Desert-Pacific Council have come together to bring your Pack/Troop great opportunities to help the hungry in the San Diego area. What a great way to do a Good Turn For America, helping to feed hungry men, women and children.

Sound great? Well it gets better. The Giving Groves programs does most of the planning. They arrange the pickings and supply all the materials required. All you need to do is show up and pick.

Church Volunteers

Is your church looking for a way to help people in need? Have we got the activity for you.

The Giving Groves program has arranged with area growers to allow volunteers to go into their fields and orchards to pick fruit and vegetables that would otherwise rot. The produce is then given to local charity groups and the San Diego Food Bank for distribution to people in need throughout San Diego County.
